Laurent Foetisch

    After completing his study at the School of Commerce in Lausanne, Laurent worked at the SBS bank in Lausanne and in Basel before joining the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). During five years Laurent went on several humanitarian missions for the ICRS in Pakistan, Ethiopia and Mozambique.
    Upon his return to Switzerland, Laurent worked at La Suisse Assurances. In 1990 he joined Serono – the young and promising biotech company based in Geneva where he held several positions including the management of the trading company, called Ares Trading SA, for more than 10 years as General Manager. In 2002, he has been nominated VP Supply Chain at Serono.

    Laurent has extensive experience as a supply chain executive responsible for managing a global biotech and pharmaceutical supply chain. In 2007 Laurent was assigned to the supply chain worldwide integration between Merck KGaA and Serono, being responsible for the creation of one central supply chain structure using common processes and tools.

    Laurent founded Supply Chain Operations SA in June 2011 to provide operational supply chain support to healthcare and life sciences companies. Laurent is also a member of Marken Advisory Board in the USA and professor at EHL in Lausanne.
